How to Use Boosters & Oils
The order and technique matter — here is how to layer them correctly:
Gel Boosters First
Apply gel boosters like Caffeine or Ginkgo after cleansing and before serum — they are lightweight and designed to penetrate quickly.
Mix or Layer Oils
Facial oils can be mixed with your moisturiser or applied over it as the final step to seal in hydration and actives.
AHA Concentrate at Night
Use the AHA Peeling Concentrate in the evening only, 2–3 times per week. Always follow with a rich moisturiser and SPF the next morning.
Less is More
Boosters and oils are concentrated — 2–4 drops of facial oil or a small amount of booster is enough for the entire face.
Find Your Booster or Oil Match
Each product in our range targets a specific concern or routine step:
Caffeine Gel Booster
Anti-inflammatory, pore-tightening and draining. Ideal for oily, congested or puffy skin — use before serum for best results.
Antioxidant Ginkgo Booster
Neutralises free radicals and reduces oxidative stress. A powerful antioxidant boost for all skin types, especially urban skin.
Nourishing Facial Oils
Rich in essential fatty acids that seal the skin barrier, prevent moisture loss and leave skin visibly softer and more supple.
AHA Peeling Concentrate
Glycolic Acid concentrate that exfoliates, brightens and accelerates cell renewal — use 2–3x per week for visible texture improvement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — the right facial oil can actually balance oily skin. Certain oils like our Nourishing Facial Oil are non-comedogenic and help regulate sebum production by signalling to the skin that it is already adequately moisturised. The key is using a dry, lightweight oil rather than heavy occlusive oils, and applying just 1–2 drops as the final step of your evening routine.
Serums are standalone treatments with a full concentration of active ingredients designed to address a primary concern. Boosters are more concentrated, targeted formulas designed to amplify specific effects within your existing routine — they are typically used in addition to a serum, not instead of one. Think of a booster as a power-up for a specific step.
Start with once a week and build up to 2–3 times per week as your skin builds tolerance. Always use in the evening, as AHAs increase photosensitivity. Follow immediately with a rich moisturiser and apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ the next morning. If you experience persistent redness or irritation, reduce frequency and allow your barrier to recover.
Generally after — facial oils create a barrier that can prevent water-based products from penetrating if applied first. The correct order is: cleanser → toner → serum → moisturiser → facial oil. The oil acts as the final seal, locking in all the layers beneath it. Alternatively, you can mix 1–2 drops of oil directly into your moisturiser before applying.
